Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey

Today I cracked open my first bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Whiskey. Now, the very nice gentleman at Blacklick Wine and Spirits (awesome liquor store) informed me that it is technically a liqueur due to the sugar content. First I tried it straight (chilled of course). The smell was traditional Jack with just a hint of sweetness. The taste was a sweeter Jack complete with the satisfying whiskey warming I love. The aftertaste is where the honey came in. It was great. I can tell now why I've seen reviews stating that people have sat down and drank an entire bottle.

Now, I'm a Jack and Coke girl. So I had to try adding a bit of fizz to this mouth watering honey concoction. The mix was a little extra sweet, but that ebbed by the second sip. The honey favor came out more on the back end of the mixture. Currently I have a pleasant warmth in my stomach and a smile on my face.

All in all, I'm pleased with the JD Honey. Anyone want to offer a suggestion for my next try?
